Why social work?
I discovered social work at an early age. My sister, who is 9 years older, majored in social work as well. I remember being around 8 years old thinking what I want to be when I grow up. I thought to myself…a social worker. The thought of being a social worker excited me. I love working with people and being able to help others. Social work has so many job opportunities. It is a huge umbrella with different avenues you can take. Social work is so essential everywhere in almost every setting. And when you do something you love, it does not feel like “work”.
